Sustainability

As a brand inspired by nature, sustainability is incredibly important to us and lies at the heart of our design and business principles.

The fundamental decision to use Merino wool for all of our shirts means we have the pleasure of working with a sustainable, renewable and biodegradable fibre that Merino sheep naturally, and very kindly, produce every year.

We also wanted to eliminate other synthetic materials usually found in polo shirts, namely plastic buttons, so we sourced beautifully mottled buttons ethically made from cow horn, that both look fantastic and add a distinct element of style to our shirts.

Ramsie is proudly Australian and we are delighted to be able to say that all of our fabric is sourced and produced locally, and our shirts are constructed in Australia rather than outsourced overseas. Keeping everything homegrown means we can produce high quality products whilst supporting our local communities and reducing our carbon footprint.

When it comes to packaging, our shirts are carefully wrapped in FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) Certified tissue paper that’s acid free and printed using soy-based inks. The shirts are then despatched in reusable, recycled poly mailers that are tough, durable, and take up less space than boxes during transit, thus further reducing our carbon footprint.
